Cin'hoche Sartrouville - Saint Germain Boucles de Seine

Initially named the Palace, then the ABC, the cinema opened in 1920 with one screen, then added another, and a third in the 1980s, providing the inhabitants of Sartrouville and the neighbouring towns with a place to nurture their dreams.

For nearly a century, the ABC cinema continually evolved, constantly accompanying its customers with the latest modernisations.

In 1920, the Palace was an 800-seat auditorium with a balcony, before being devoted entirely to cinema in 1948 with a screening room that was ultra-modern for its period (modern seating, curtains and modular lighting).

Following several years of work, the cinema boasted 3 modern screening rooms by 1981 and, in 2009, became one of the first cinemas in the region to acquire active 3D digital projection equipment, first in one screening room, then in the others the following year.

For almost 100 years, the cinema has been evolving both in terms of layout and technology, and it continues to undertake new transformations, now featuring not 3 but 5 entirely renovated screening rooms that are totally modern and cater for the needs of disabled persons as well as the hard of hearing.
