The discreet Eglise Notre-Dame is a building rich in history, whose bell tower was built in the 12th century in pure Romanesque style. It is sited near the Pont de Chatou, where it overlooks the Seine.

The chancel, nave and side aisles, as well as the façade, bell and stained-glass windows, were added over the course of the following centuries – in the case of the windows on the south façade, as late as 1984, created by glass-maker Emile Chauche.

The bell tower was designated a Monument Historique in 1925.

The Eglise Notre-Dame also houses a Grand Orgue (great organ) built in 1877 and displayed at the1878 Exposition Universelle before finding a home in the Eglise Notre-Dame de Chatou in 1879. It was totally restored in the early 2000s.
