Rita Kortshok - Painting / Drawing

Rita Kortshok's inspiration is drawn from realistic literary and philosophical works (Kierkegaard, Wittgenstein), but also mystical (Szerb Antal), science fiction (Solaris) or romantic (Frankenstein). She is also very influenced by artists of the Secession and Surrealism styles (Dali), and by designers such as Enki Bilal or Miyazaki; but also by her family or the landscapes of her daily life, when she lives in Hungary (Lake Balaton, Tokaj region), in Romania (Transylvania, Bukovina) then in France.

In a mostly surrealist style, his objective is to arouse reflection and intrigue in the viewer, even if it means pulling him out of his comfort zone and sometimes making him feel uncomfortable, but his paintings do not leave never indifferent.
She always seeks to convey subtle messages drawn from her personal experience, and invites you to dive with her into her universe, leaving you with a lasting memory well beyond the visit.
