Built during the golden age of formal gardens, the 17th-century garden of the Carrières-sur-Seine mairie, whose stunning greenery is reflected in its two ponds, was created by a student of André Le Nôtre.
Its layout and ornamentation give this place a tranquil atmosphere and ensured both its listing in 1945 and its receiving the glorious 'Plus beaux Jardins de France' award from the Conservatoire des Jardins et Paysages de France in 1996. It is ideally located in the centre of the town, bordering the Quai Charles de Gaulle.
