Municipal meadow of Le Mesnil

  • Park and garden
Chemin de l'Île Laborde, 78600 Le Mesnil-le-Roi
The municipal meadow at Mesnil-le-Roi is an exceptional site of remarkable ecological wealth. It is classified as a regional nature reserve
This is one of the last alluvial meadows of the Île-de-France region. Stretching over several hectares, it is home to an abundance of vegetation which shelters an ecological gold mine of exceptional wildlife.

Extensive use as pastureland for ponies and Sologne sheep (threatened species in France) and late cutting are just two of the measures taken to preserve this ecosystem,

Beehives have also been installed on the meadow.
