The Maison de l'Etang used to be known as the Château Mallet-Vernes. It was built around 1888 inside the Parc des Trois-Grilles, amid ancient oak trees, in the heart of the village of Louveciennes.
It is now used by associations and rents rooms for exhibitions and other events. Outside the house stand two statues by Allegrain, who was brother-in-law to the sculptor Pigalle.
