Capestan les Ateliers is a craft workshop combining the art of ceramics and basketry.
Alice Capestan, founder of Capestan les Ateliers, has made it her mission to pass on the techniques of shaping (on the potter's wheel) and modelling (plate, pinched bowl, colombin, stamping).
The workshops and weekly courses take place in an intimate, light-filled studio, bordered by a stone terrace on the edge of a charming garden. It includes two potter's wheels, a large two-meter-long wooden workbench and a wide range of quality tools, enabling you to work in comfort, serenity and good humor.
Weekly workshops are mixed: modeling and pottery. Clay (stoneware) is worked from kneading to glazing, including decoration and coloring.
Turning and modeling courses are naturally adapted to the level and desires of participants: beginners learn, and those who have already practiced reinforce their technique.
The pieces produced are then turned (potter's wheel), glazed and fired by the trainer.
