The Saint Germain Boucles de Seine Intercommunal Tourist Office (Île-de-France region – 18 communes – 320,000 inhabitants), which has been awarded the Qualité Tourisme label and is classed in category I, is a Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment, with its head office based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78), a 5-minute walk from the RER A train station. With a team of 10 employees and around fifteen guide-lecturers, the Saint Germain Boucles de Seine Tourist Office is committed to promoting and developing tourism in an area rich in history, between state-owned forests and the loops of the Seine. In addition to its public service remit (reception/information/promotion), it offers a range of commercial services, mainly for groups (more than 300 a year), individuals and businesses (visits, tours, breaks), coordinates the area’s tourism players and promotes them through a variety of media. Holiday advice is an essential part of its mission, as is promoting the area through the local products on offer in its shop.
Missions
Under the authority of the Director, the Reception Manager is responsible for managing 2 holiday advisors, guaranteeing and leading the Tourism Quality mark within the Tourist Office (Destination of Excellence objective in 2026) and ensuring the smooth running and development of two reception points based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (OT) and Marly-le-Roi (BIT).
Responsible for the reception department – Manage the reception team
– Coordinate and support the tourist advisors in their day-to-day work, including the implementation of new projects;
– Ensure that the tools and procedures are properly mastered;
– Work alongside the advisors to continually improve the service provided to our visitors;
– Ensure that they are familiar with tourist information, sales pitches and techniques;
– Organise and participate in the dissemination of tourist information to the team and partners;
– Draw up monthly visitor and sales statistics and participate in the drafting of the annual activity report;
– Manage stocks of brochures and boutique products;
– Develop the customer database and be a driving force behind proposals to promote it.
– Preparing the reception schedule (collecting information on availability, mobility and events to be included in the schedule, etc.);
– Ensuring that the job evolves to meet the new expectations and practices of our strategy’s target customer groups.
Working alongside the tourist advisers in the reception area
– Welcoming customers, then identifying their expectations and profile in order to provide them with the best possible information on the region’s tourism offering at the reception desk and outside the office.
– Working at the cash desk in the same way as the holiday advisors;
– Buying shop windows/displays;
– Keeping the reception area and back office in good order;
– Distributing Tourist Office documentation to socio-professionals and organising local knowledge days;
– Gathering customer opinions and expressions and recording them in the dedicated tools.
– Participate in off-site reception and promotional trade fairs for the general public.
– Participate in data collection (including daily footfall) and fill in the observatory matrix.
Initiating the Quality Tourism brand and managing the reception mission in obtaining the Destination of Excellence brand
– Guaranteeing and driving quality within the Tourist Office
– Being a driving force in the continuous improvement and adaptation of tools and practices
– Preparing the team for forthcoming quality audits

Conditions
You have a 2/3-year degree in tourism and have gained initial experience in the tourism sector, ideally having already worked in a Tourist Office.
