In Chatou, the Maison Fournaise museum holds a collection of paintings and archives relating to the history of the house and the golden age of the Seine riverbank.
The permanent collection is presented every year, alternating with the museum's temporary exhibitions. Visiting pupils are accompanied by an organiser who encourages them to express themselves throughout the tour and via various workshops.
School groups, including infant school children, can visit the Maison Fournaise museum to find out about its history and environment through the imaginary world of tales. The heroes of the stories are animals from the Seine, some mischievous children, and Renoir the fox and his friends, who are familiar faces at Maison Fournaise.
