A day following in the footsteps of the Sun King, between Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Marly-le-Roi.

Morning:
- Guided tour of the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, also known as "Château Vieux" (old castle) by contrast with the "Château Neuf" (new castle), which has since disappeared. ThIs is the former residence of French kings, including François Premier, Henri IV and Louis XIV... After an introduction to the history of the château, you will visit the courtyard, then the château itself, which now houses the Musée d'Archéologie Nationale.
- Guided tour of the park and gardens
From 1668 to 1675, at the request of Louis XIV, Le Nôtre created an array of French-style gardens between the two castles. He completed his work by building a terrace from where the magnificent view embraces western Paris.

Lunch in the town centre

Afternoon:
- Guided tour of Royal Marly
On the traces of the Sun King who so appreciated the gardens of his country residence in Marly, the tour reveals some beautiful views with water features and sculptures. The watering pond, still intact, is watched over by the famous "Marly horses" sculpted by Guillaume Coustou. Presentation of old Marly, a charming village which offers magnificent views over the west of Paris.
