La Maison Saint-Charles is a place with a rich past that has served as an adoptive home for children since its creation. You can discover the house and its history on Journées Européennes du Patrimoine (European Heritage Days).

The house has taken in young orphans from Alsace-Lorraine since its creation in 1874.

In the 1930s, the Fondation catholique des Apprentis d'Auteuil took over the running of the establishment, which today houses 80 boys and girls aged between 3 and 12 years old who are struggling with family, social or emotional problems and have been placed there by the Aide sociale à l'enfance (social services).
